Bacha Khan seated

The highest-resolution portrait in the collection. He is seated on the floor against bolsters, in the plain homespun he wore all his life. Photographer and date unrecorded.

On categories. Only categories actually supported by the plates in this collection are offered. There is no Memorials filter, because the collection contains no photographs of memorials; and no Khudai Khidmatgar filter, because no plate here shows the movement's volunteers, uniforms or formations. Every plate is shown complete: the stage and the full-size view both letterbox the image inside the frame rather than cropping to fill it, so no face, printed caption or border is lost. Where the source records a date, photographer or identification, it is given. Where it does not, the caption says so rather than guessing.
